Coordinate Measure - Measure Positions on Images

Measure two points on an image, down to the pixel.

What makes this app great, in a nutshell

Coordinate Measure is an iPhone and iPad app that shows the pixel coordinates of two points you place on an image and automatically calculates the X difference, Y difference and straight-line distance between them. It also reads the color at each point as HEX and RGB, draws a circle of a set radius, and can move the other point when you type a distance or ΔX/ΔY. Export images with the crosshairs and circles drawn in to share them. Core measuring is free with no image limit, and images are processed on your device.

Features

  • Tap to place two points, with a magnifier for pixel-level precision
  • Automatic ΔX, ΔY and straight-line distance, in pixels or 0–1 ratios
  • Set the origin (0, 0) at any of the four corners
  • Pick colors and read them as HEX and RGB (long-press to copy)
  • Draw circles of a given radius; enter a distance or ΔX/ΔY to move the other point
  • Export and share the image with crosshairs and circles, or with the coordinate panel

Made for moments like these

I want to know a position in an image, down to the pixel

Tap the image to place a point and its coordinates appear instantly.

→ Coordinates of two points

I want to measure the distance between two points

The X difference, Y difference and straight-line distance are calculated automatically and update as you move the points.

→ X/Y difference and distance

I want to check margins and spacing in a screenshot

Place points on an app or web screenshot to check the position and spacing of elements in pixels.

→ Two-point measurement

I want to find a color code in an image

The color at each point is shown as HEX and RGB. Long-press to copy and paste it anywhere.

→ Color picking

I want to check what lies within a set distance of a point

Draw a circle of a given radius, or type a distance or ΔX/ΔY to move the other point to that position.

→ Radius circle and numeric input

I want the origin in another corner, such as bottom-left

Choose which corner of the image is (0, 0) to match a graph or coordinate system.

→ Change origin position (Pro)

I want to place points with single-pixel precision

A magnifier appears while you place or fine-tune points, so you can position them pixel by pixel.

→ Magnifier (Pro)

I want to compare positions across images of different sizes

Each point can also be shown as a 0–1 ratio of the image size.

→ Relative position display (Pro)

I want to send my measurements along with the image

Export the image with crosshairs and circles drawn in, or include the coordinate panel.

→ Export and share (with coordinates: Pro)

Frequently asked questions

What images can I measure?

Any image in the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad, including screenshots.

Can it measure real-world lengths in cm or mm?

No. The app measures coordinates and distances on the image itself, in pixels. There is no conversion to physical lengths.

How much can I do for free?

Coordinates, color picking, radius circles, X/Y difference and distance are free with no image limit (with ads). Pro features such as changing the origin position, the magnifier, relative position display and sharing with coordinates can be used for 10 minutes after watching a video ad. A monthly or yearly plan or the lifetime purchase unlocks Pro features anytime.

Are my images sent to a server?

No. Images are processed on your device and never sent to our servers or any third party's. For iCloud Photos the app may connect to Apple's iCloud to load the original images, and the free version uses the network to show ads.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone with iOS 18.4 or later and iPad with iPadOS 18.4 or later.

How is this different from Image Compare?

Coordinate Measure measures positions, distances and colors on a single image. Image Compare overlays or lines up two images to check how they differ.
